The DriveABLE On-Road Evaluation (DORE) is a scientifically developed on-road evaluation that tests specifically for decline in the cognitive skills needed for safe driving. Unlike other on-road tests, the DORE tests for cognitive impairment and not bad-habit errors that are common amongst experienced drivers.
The DriveABLE On-Road Evaluation (DORE) is one of the only driving tests that compares the driving errors of healthy drivers against drivers that are cognitively impaired. The DORE is licensed for use to experienced on-road evaluators with a DriveABLE standardized road course. Our scoring system focuses on the driving errors that signal cognitive impairment. To protect the competent driver, the scoring system explicitly excludes errors that are those made by experienced, healthy drivers and not associated with competence decline.
